A Very Exciting Announcement

I mentioned in my last post on here that I had an exciting announcement coming up. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook you may already have heard this, as it was actually announced a few weeks ago, but if not, here it is:

This August, my first published short story will be appearing in the WERE- anthology which is being published by Zombies Need Brains.

You can read more about the anthology–and preorder it–here.

I’m really excited to read the other stories in this book, and for my own story to get out there. This story is everything I could have hoped for in my first published story. It has characters who are like me and it talks about things from my own experience, neither of which I saw a lot of in fantasy growing up. I put a lot of myself into this story, and I hope that means other people will see themselves in it too.

This is exactly the kind of writing I want to be doing.

Scheduling: Short Break

After today’s post, I’ll be taking a short break from both my blogs. Posting will resume late August/early September.

If you’re interested in keeping up with my life (and pets) you can go over to Disabled Dragon, which is my personal blog (and which isn’t updated on any particular schedule).

Quick Schedule Update

Just a quick update on scheduling–due to holidays, cons, and general scheduling weirdness, things have been kind of out of sync this month. However, next week I’ll hopefully be posting two posts, one in the regular Tuesday slot, and an extra one on Friday for Blogging Against Disablism Day. The Tuesday post will most likely be a poem, and for the Friday post I’m planning to talk about my experiences with doctors. After that I’m hoping to keep this blog on an alternating schedule with Words of Realms, which is being updated today.

Blog Announcement: Posting Schedule

So far I’ve been posting every Tuesday on this blog. For the most part I plan to continue with this schedule, however this month and next I will be posting every other Tuesday in order to allow me to focus more on other projects (which include a YA fantasy novel, a poetry collection, and a children’s book manuscript).
